Greg is directing the SmartHomes initiative for Imagine!.

Greg Wellems career supporting individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities began 25 years ago as a direct support professional.  For the last 20 years he has worked with Imagine!, a Community Centered Board located in Boulder, CO. Greg has been responsible for the development of many innovative programs designed to better meet the needs of persons with cognitive and developmental disabilities, including community-based medical and senior services and collaborative community partnerships to support individuals with hearing, physical and behavioral challenges. His current focus is on developing and incorporating technology to improve supports for individuals with cognitive disabilities.  This focus has resulted in the development of the two SmartHomes, which serve as a model for the future of care for individuals with cognitive disabilities and related conditions.  Greg has spoken at a number of assistive technology events and provider conferences throughout the United States and is presently leading an initiative aimed at providing adaptive technologies internationally.  Greg is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado. He is also currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Network of Community Options and Resources and The Life Enrichment Trust.

Greg has been traveling across the country giving presentations about Imagine!’s SmartHomes project to audiences at a wide variety of conferences.  Learn more

  Kevin Harding

Kevin Harding is serving as the SmartHomes Information Systems Director.

Kevin's association with Imagine! began in 1990 when he provided information system support and repair while working for a computer sales and service company in Boulder. Kevin and his wife were also doing respite care for children in services at what was then the Developmental Disabilities Center. In 1995, he returned to the CCB system with the Developmental Disabilities Resources Center in Lakewood as their Director of Information Systems. In 2003, Kevin became Imagine!'s full time IS Director. Kevin has an Associate of Science degree and undergraduate work in electrical engineering.

  Sterling Wind

Sterling Wind is SmartHomes Project Manager at Imagine!. He is responsible for the coordination of the SmartHomes initiative, overseeing the design and construction of two model community residences that will incorporate state-of-the-art technologies in order to enhance the current residential options for individuals with disabilities by coordinating assistive and adaptive technology, bio-metric technology, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, data collection and pattern recognition technology.

Sterling has worked for Imagine! since the fall of 1987, and has fulfilled a variety of roles within the organization. Prior to assuming the role of SmartHomes Project Manager, Sterling served as the supervisor for Imagine!'s Employer of Record/Family Recruited Provider program, supervisor, service coordinator, project facilitator, employment specialist and job coach with Labor Source, the employment service at Imagine!.

Sterling holds a BA in Political Science from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California, and an MA in Not-for-Profit Leadership and Management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

  Alex Andrews

Alex has worked with Imagine! in different aspects, from vocational service to host home provider, for the last 11 years. For the last five years, Alex has worked to develop technology programs for clients of Imagine!. Some of the programs include: adaptive music programs, computer technologies, audio/video productions, and refurbished computer donation programs.

Alex now serves as Imagine!'s Innovations department's Technology Resource Manager where he has continued to create technology programs including the Tech PCA, a three person residence for individuals with cerebral palsy where clients can access computer functions, environmental controls, and multimedia through single switch operation. Alex is also working to perpetuate client communication through C.O.R.E. Innovations day program with the start of a communication lab working with clients with communication barriers, as well as working with software developers on integrating adaptive computer interfaces and software for greater independence for the SmartHome project.
